My Second Age is me as an adult, responsible for upholding the laws and traditions, ensuring the continuation of our "tribal" customs. In my Second Age I strived to earn my place in the adult world of responsibility, seeking to enjoy the security, status and other external markers of achievement. I spent my Second Age as an active adult working, protecting and developing my "tribe." This was a time of establishing my own family and the social interests, activities and ties that form community. I was using the knowledge I had learned from the generations that were here before me and gaining my own experience to share with those generations to follow. Through my varied accomplishments I gained a sense of and recognition for “success” in my chosen professions.
